One world, one heart giveaway

HEY NOW! We have a WINNER! Random.org picked number 22, who is beachgrl! She commented "I love crystals and the heart is so pretty and sparkly! My favorite heart is an antique heart locket I bought years ago. I have my two children when they were young inside the locket." Thanks to everyone for playing!

If anyone is interested in purchasing a heart for the cost of materials and shipping, just contact me!

How cool is this? I love these giveaway carnivals, so I just have to join in the fun! And considering I collect hearts, this is perfect for me.

ANYONE can Play! EVEN IF you are not participating with a giveaway you can still ENTER to win on the various blogs. The point is to find new blogs, meet new people. Just Click on the comment tab below, leave link to your blog if you have one and tell me what is your favorite heart item you currently own! Comments will close at 11:59pm on Feb 13th, and the winner will be announced Feb 14th! You must have a blog to enter.

What am I giving away?

I just started beading - literally two days ago . . . because I saw these hearts for sale, and refused to pay for something I could make myself. And I did! I am giving away my very first beaded project . . . a puffy heart made from Swarovski crystals!

Please surf over to the main giveaway page here to see all the other giveaways, and make some new blogging friends!

This is a great idea! However, I just moved across country and have most of my stuff in storage. What I would like to do, is go into as many of the blogs as I can and sign in. If my name gets pulled by anyone as a winner, I will donate $100 to AIDS Foundation in memory of my brother. If my name gets selected more than once, I will up the ante an additional $10 every time it gets pulled (greedy I know, but one can dream!!!) If my name is not pulled by anyone, I will still make a $50 donation. This way, everyone is a winner.

I hope to get my name drawn at least once.

my favourite heart...
I was feeling incredibly sad and heartbroken (due to break up with a guy!) and looking out my window at the moon one night I asked her for a sign or some comfort or something to tell me I was doing the right thing or on the right path.
The next day walking down the road I found a heart! silver, two inches across, bit battered but otherwise shiny and whole. I was so happy. It hangs in whatever house i am in to remind me that I am loved.

I am new to your blog. I linked to it from another blog I visit frequently. I am quite fascinated by your family's story. I stumbled across the concept of embryo adoption from the opposite prospective. We have an 8 year old who has a disease called aplastic anemia and although we have 7 other children, none are tissue matches. That has led us to explore in vitro as a way of getting him the match but left us with a huge ethical delimma...what to do with the other embryo's that are viable and healthy, but don't match. It seemed absolutely deplorable to donate them to research or to let them thaw and die. As your family can prove, these are not just embroys, but children! Yet we already have 8 children and knew we couldn't implant them all..we were so releived and happy to discover there was such thing as embroy adoption! Though it breaks my heart to think of creating a child I cannot keep and raise...I know whole heartedly that we would want our embroys adopted. Not sure if it will get to that step or not, as of now, in vitro is just not in our price range so we continue to play the odds with natural conception...just wanted you to know that I think embryo adoption is such a wonderful thing, and what a blessing to know that this choice exists for couples who cannot implant all of their embryos!
