We had our 2 week checkup yesterday, and you'll never guess what Cooper gained! He's 7lbs 2oz .. up over a pound since hospital discharge. I'm so proud of both of us! The breastfeeding issues are obviously better. He latches on great now . . . and goes anywhere from 25-50 minutes a shot! Hmm, I guess that's why time has flown . . . we're always nursing! Pumping is going really well too, so at least my anxiety about keeping up with breastfeeding after going back to work is lessening. I thought I'd spend too much time pumping at work for it to be feasible, but last night I pumped almost 5 oz in 5 minutes! Everybody say MOO!
I just slept for about 6 hours too. Big ouch for the boobs, but well worth it. I pumped those 5 oz, and went straight to bed. Hubby did a feeding, so I could sleep. He also suprised me by coming home at 9pm, to help with bedtime for Jax. Told you hubby has been great! I just might keep him!
So as you can imagine, last Friday night alone with two kids didn't go that well. Coop woke and was was crying just as I was putting Jax down. I gave up after 15 min of juggling both, and we all returned to the family room, where I promptly slapped in a movie and let Jax fall asleep on the couch. Yes, I know that's Bad Parenting 101, but hey, I made it through.

Definately not parenting! I think Kaelyn watched videos for two weeks STRAIGHT without stopping when Cooper was born. Now, THAT'S bad parenting. LOL
You know in the beginning you're just in survival mode. It is hard to juggle 2 at first but gets easier. I'm glad to hear bf'ing is going so well for you. Your boys are tooo cute!
The kiddos are adorable! And bad parenting? Uh...No way! I would end up having Jax naked and starving while Cooper was trying to latch on to the cat. You are doing great! The babe is growing soooo big!

Hey Suz - Juggling 2 kids by yourself ain't easy after a long day so no judgement here! ;o) Sounds like you are hangin in there though. Glad little Cooper is gaining weight and breastfeeding is going well too. I love Coopers eyes. They're so big and beautiful.
And I meant to add that it DOES get easier with 2 kids, too. :o)
Bittyman has Ice Age 2 memorized because he watched it every day for the first month of Ittyboy's life! It's survival, Mommy! Don't sweat it!
And way to go on the BF and pumping! Big thumbs up!
Good job, Momma! I could pump some milk like a crazy fool when Hanna was litte. It made it nice to let Kevin feed her. Gosh, that was almost 12 years ago!!!

Suz, Sounds like you're doing awesome! Great job on the b/f and pumping! Your boys are so cute! I love that picture of the two of them together. I think I remember a picture of J with his hand up in the air the same way when he was tiny. Can't wait to see more pictures!
